CORPORATE VOLUNTEER COUNCIL
of the Sacramento Region
Today's business leaders recognize that a company's commitment to social responsibility can provide an edge in attracting and retaining quality employees, as well as strengthen relationships with customers and investors. More than 40 leading businesses in the Sacramento region have joined together to create the Corporate Volunteer Council (CVC). At monthly meetings, CVC members share best practices and create opportunities to increase volunteerism throughout the region. Lunch meetings are held every second Thursday, and are hosted by a different CVC member each month.
Mission
The Corporate Volunteer Council of the Sacramento Region seeks to make a positive impact on the quality of life in our community by promoting and supporting volunteerism through our corporate members.
Goals
- Provide a forum for the exchange of resources and ideas between members’ volunteer teams, and for local service organizations to communicate needs.
- Promote awareness of the value of corporate volunteer efforts among the community, business, and government.
The members of the Corporate Volunteer Council play an active and leading role in working for community change. For more information, or to become a member, contact Kerri Warner at Hands On Sacramento – cvc@handsonsacto.org.
