A key strategy of the Johnson Administration’s approach is to make sure service efforts target the city’s greatest needs. The two key focus areas for the City of Sacramento’s service agenda are: targeting resources to the city’s priority need areas and strengthening the local infrastructure. While there are many additional areas in which volunteerism is needed and can be of tremendous value to the city, the areas listed above will receive particular focus and attention. Volunteer Sacramento will continue to promote and support all forms of civic engagement and make it easier for Sacramento residents to connect to service opportunities.
