What is Volunteer Sacramento? 
Volunteer Sacramento establishes a comprehensive local approach to supporting service and citizen engagement - and it builds on the Johnson Administration's strong track record of promoting volunteerism and public-private partnerships.

Volunteer Sacramento aims to make Sacramento the easiest city in the nation in which to serve. It unleashes the spirit of service throughout the Sacramento Region by encouraging and empowering Sacramentans of every age to contribute to the health and well being of their neighbors and their neighborhoods. 

Volunteer Sacramento has set a new standard for community involvement in tackling Sacramento's toughest problems, and it will promote service as a core part of what it means to be a citizen of the capital of California. 

I would like to get involved; how do I get started?

I am a nonprofit or city agency in need of volunteers. How do I engage Sacramentans in service? 
If you are a government agency or a nonprofit with 501(c)(3) tax exemption located in Sacramento or serving Sacramento residents, please post your volunteer needs with an approved certifying organization listed on our website to start engaging the many Sacramentans who want to give their time, passion and skills to help you achieve your mission.
